Laughing is one of my favourite things in the world. That wonderful feeling when you're absolutely lost in laughter, tears running down your cheeks, mascara all over the place - where you've forgotten why you were laughing in the first place but you just can't stop laughing anyway! To know that this amazing feeling is not only enormous fun but incredibly good for us - mind, body and spirit - is a great big bonus. I've made it my business for the last eleven years to spread the word about laughter and how valuable it is for keeping us well, balanced, happy and playful. I love to see the incredible transformation in the groups I work with after a good laugh - to see layers of stress dissolve, eyes sparkle, and conversations flow with ease.
I trained in Laughter Yoga with the Dr Kataria School of Laughter Yoga in 2005 and am one of the UK's longest established laughter practitioners (lucky me!) I've also trained in clown, voice and physical theatre in England and Italy with Nose to Nose, Circus Space and the Roy Hart Theatre and recently completed a UK tour of my beloved solo clown show Waiting for Stanley with Finger in the Pie Theatre Company.
I've been blessed to feature regularly as a laughter expert on TV and radio - including ITV’s This Morning and Loose Women, BBC Radio 2 with Chris Evans and BBC One's Science of the Young Ones, leading a laughter experiment in conjunction with the University of Westminster, which proved the stress relieving benefits of laughter.
I love to share my experience and get people laughing!
